Welcome to the second newsletter from Ainscough Associates for 2021
There have been some significant changes since our last newsletter in January, most notably our CQC registration; we held our first webinar in May which was really well attended, and our second one on 8 October looking at the MDT; and finally, we’re excited to have two new case managers joining our team.

CQC Registration
We’re very pleased to say that our recent application to be registered with CQC has been accepted and we are currently awaiting our initial assessment before being placed on the register.
As we’ve been assisting clients with the employment of carers and support staff for many years, thankfully we have thorough policies, procedures, and systems already in place. We look forward to our first inspection!

Webinars
We held our first webinar on 11 May which explored how case management fits in alongside the legal process. This was extremely well attended, with nearly 100 participants. We had a great line-up of speakers including Laura Middleton-Guerard from Irwin Mitchell, Andrew Williamson from BLM Law, and Angela Kerr, chair of BABICM and the Institute of Registered Case Managers.
You can watch a recording of the webinar here.
Our next webinar is took place on 8 October and we had an esteemed panel of guest speakers representing different clinical professions, discussing the role of the multidisciplinary team. You can watch a recording of the webinar here.

New Case Managers
We’re excited to tell you about our new case manager Nadine Tokosi who started with us in January this year. Nadine is a social worker and is based in London, working with both children and adults. She is dynamic and proactive, being described by a family member on one of her new cases as ‘a breath of fresh air’. We’re already getting some excellent feedback from clients and solicitors.
Nadine did an interview for one of our recent blogs about starting life as a new case manager and you can read that here, were she also touches on our system of support for new junior case managers.
I’m excited to say that we’ve just recruited a new member to the team, Loretta Musapatike, a nurse case manager based in Northampton, and her CV and details will be on our website in due course.
