Comprehensive support for our clients who directly employ staff
We’ve always taken the approach that the relationship our HR managers have with our clients and their families, is at times just as important as the relationship with the case manager. This is particularly the case when clients are fairly well-established and many of the ongoing issues they experience can be in relation to the ongoing management of their care team and package.
In fact, on certain cases at certain times, the quality of the relationship between the client and our HR manager can be more critical than that of the case manager.
Therefore, we’ve always taken the approach that it’s really important for our HR managers to have a comprehensive relationship with the client and their family in order for them to offer the best support regarding the direct employment of carers and support workers. The HR manager and the case manager work very closely together.
We’ve operated like this for many years and our excellent HR managers, Tracy Humphrey and Nicola McAllister, are extremely thorough in what they do and often go above and beyond to support our clients.
As HR managers they don’t just operate remotely in a back office, they are used to working on a face-to-face basis with clients and families, used to the nuances of working closely on a face-to-face basis with clients that have suffered significant and often catastrophic changes in their lives.
Alongside our excellent HR managers, we’ve also developed a very thorough and in-depth support package and guidance for our case managers on what is required to support clients directly employing staff. We’ve also developed numerous help and guidance documents for clients and their families, and solicitors and deputies.
