Howard
Howard was involved in a road traffic accident when his motorcycle was hit by another vehicle. He sustained some very serious physical injuries including a complex brachial plexus lesion alongside a severe head injury.
Ainscough Associates helped Howard in the following ways:
- Instruction of a private specialist neurological physiotherapist, neuropsychologist, and CBT therapist.
- Coordination of professionals from the private and statutory sector.
- As Howard has not been able to return to work in his previous role the case manager has devised a detailed return to work programme with options for retraining, liaising extensively with his current employers and statutory services.
- Unfortunately some of the personality and behavioural changes as a result of Howard's accident have contributed towards the breakdown of his relationship and he will need to start living independently. The case manager has arranged for a private package of care and specialist training of support workers in order to assist Howard with all aspects of living independently.
